Les besoins :

Transfert de technologie vers le smartphone : startup ou industrie conventionnelle.

Le projet :

Boitier d’analyse d’urine connecté (via bandelettes et appli smartphone) pour un suivi quotidien.

La problématique :

Chaque jour nous produisons environ 1,5 litre d’urine, que nous empressons d’éliminer. On considère ce fluide biologique comme encombrant et contraignant. Et pourtant … quel liquide biologique formidable !! Ce concentré de molécules nous offre une précieuse source d’information sur l’état de santé de notre organisme. Mais comment analyser et mieux encore, comprendre ce qui est présent dans nos urines de manière quotidienne et non contraignante ? … La réponse iBUC !!

Avec iBUC comprendre son urine devient un jeu d’enfant, prenez une bandelette, scanner vos résultats et l’application transforme la donnée scientifique complexe en conseil et message de prévention. Les champs du possible sont nombreux et varient en fonction de la bandelette utilisée :

Pour les hommes et la femme : avec le dosage du glucose, on pourrait surveiller l’évolution de l’équilibre glycémique chez des personnes diabétiques, avec en plus

Le dosage des corps cétonique, trace d’un diabète non-contrôlé ;
Surveiller la trace d’une infection grâce aux leucocytes ;
La présence de nitrate pourrait révéler une infection par des entérobactéries ;
Le pH, les protéines, pourrait indiquer sur l’état de santé de nos reins ;
Avec d’autres réactifs nous pouvons même contrôler le bon fonctionnement de notre foie !

Pour la femme, les bandelettes LH, FSH, œstrogène et progestérone permettront de connaitre et de comprendre précisément le cycle menstruel et ainsi savoir :

la date précise de survenue des règles (sportives de haut niveau par exemple) ;
la période pendant laquelle elle peut avoir une activité sexuelle sans risque de fécondation (contraception naturelle) ;
la période optimale pour procréer et augmenter ainsi les chances d’avoir un enfant (ovulation) ;
l’arrivée de la ménopause ou de la puberté ;
l’efficacité de sa pilule contraceptive, de son stérilet hormonal ;
suivre son cycle après la prise de la pilule de lendemain.

Cela permet également un suivi hormonal lorsqu’une femme est atteinte de trouble du cycle menstruel ou lorsque celle ci suit un traitement médicamenteux pouvant perturber son équilibre hormonal. Ce suivi quotidien permet aussi de détecter le début de grossesse au plus tôt (HCG) ce qui prévient des comportements à risque lors de la phase précoce du développement embryonnaire (Alcool, cigarette, etc…).

De plus, iPIPI permet la détection précoce des infections urinaires et des mycoses !

L’application smartphone associée à ce dispositif vous alertera d’une anomalie par une notification, en expliquant ce que cela signifie de façon claire et accessible et en conseillant une marche à suivre comme l’orientation vers le médecin ou le pharmacien voire refaire un test.

Il s’agira de bien doser l’information afin de na pas inquiéter inutilement l’utilisateur. Il sera également possible de consulter les résultats par une simple lecture de ses données biologiques, ou de son cycle menstruel. Toutes les données seront conservées sur l’appareil de l’utilisateur de façon privées et protégées.

Aujourd’hui nous pouvons créer avec votre aide cet appareil ! Et demain ? Demain nous pourrons peut être détecter et quantifier la présence d’un médicament ou bien même d’un cancer… L’évolution de ce produit est certaine et encourageante ! Un dispositif de prévention simple et fiable pour une analyse au quotidien facile et rapide.

Technology Transfer Towards Startup or Conventional Company

The Project:

Connected housing for the analysis of the urine through band and smartphone application for a daily follow-up.

The challenge:

Each day, we produce about 1.5 L of urine, that we hasten to eliminate. We consider this biological fluid as cumbersome and binding, However what a formidable biological liquid!!

This concentrate of molecules offer a precious source of information about the state of our body health. How to better analyse it, and understand what is present inside, as a daily follow-up and without constraint? Our solution: iPIPI!

With iPIPI, understand our urine become a children’s game: just take a game, scan your results ans the application transform the scientific data into a dedicated advise and a prevention message. The possibilities are numerous and change depending of the used band:

For men and women, the application may supervise the evolution of the glycemic balance for diabetic patients, with additionaly:

The dosing of the cetonic bodies, tracks of a non-control diabet;
Supervise potential tracks of an infection, thanks to the leucocyte follow-up;
The presence of nitrates may disclose an infection by enterobacteriacea;
The pH, the protein may be an indicator for our kidneys;
With some additional reactive, we may even control the good function of our liver.

For women: The dedicated LH, FSH, œstrogène, progestérone band will allow to know and understand precisely the menstruel cycle for additional purposes like:

the accurate date of the menstrual periods, for high-level sportive women for instance;
the period when we can have sexual relationship without any risk of fecondation (natural contraception);
the optimale period for procreation in order to increase the chances to have a child (ovulation);
the arrival of the menopause or the puberty;
the efficiency of the contraceptive pill and the hormonal contraceptive device;
cycle follow-up after the morning-after pill.

iPIPI allow also an hormonal follow-up, when a woman suffers from menstrual period troubles or when she takes a medical treatment with potential perturbation of her hormonal balance.

The daily follow-up enables also to detect early a start of pregnancy (HCG) that prevent from hazardous behaviour at the precoce phase of the emryonic development (alcool, cigarette, etc.).

In adition, iPIPI allows the precoce detection of the urinary infections and for mycosis!

The smartphone application liked to the the device, may allert you of an abnormaility through a notification, by explaining clearly the workflow like the orientation towards the doctor or the pharmacist. A second test may also be recommended.

The information will be gauged with caution, not to worry pointlossly the user. A simple display may also be enabled. The data will be kept privatly and protected on the device.

Nowadays, we can create this device: a simple and acurate device for the daily analysis. Tomorrow, the same product might allow to detect and quantify a medicine or a cancer.
